Big Blue Campsite Review: Almeda Park, Josephine County, Galice, Oregon

I'm sure people who stay at Almeda Park in Josephine County (county site for info and reservation info) in the rafting days of summer have a different experience than we do. What is normally a very busy park (by what I understand), was almost dead when we were there in October. We stayed in site 30, which was close enough on the river to hear it, smell it and get the cold from it. 31, 32 and 33 seemed equally cool and close to the river. The rest seemed like a wide open parking lot of dirt with undefined boundries. I don't think we would have liked it very much if we had been stuck in one of the other spots.

Spot 30.
