When I got my first ACVW ("Gretchen", 1973 Type III Fastback), a girl in my class gave me a bunch of her old VW Trends (she'd had a Superbeetle). I distinctly remember the Pink Lady in one of them, and the disgust I felt toward it. Thank you for replenishing that feeling anew, and for reminding us all, as pertains the 1980s SoCal- and SoFla-inspired butchery of old VWs: "Never Again".
